This learning program is designed to introduce you to opioids. The program begins with a brief overview of opioids; you will also learn about codeine and its derivatives. Later sections will focus on patient education vis-à-vis codeine, and will also help you understand why it is important for pharmacists to know as much as they can about codeine and its derivatives. The program also helps you understand the role of opioids as cough suppressants and pain killers.
